Mutable
These signs are changeable and flexible. Pisces, Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius, Virgo

Fixed
Dependability is their defining trait. Aquarius, Scorpio, Leo, Taurus

Cardinal
They are forceful by nature. Capricorn, Libra, Cancer, Aries

Elements
There are four elements in astrology, with three signs out of the 12, belonging to each element.

Water - Pisces, Scorpio, Cancer

Air - Aquarius, Libra, Gemini

Earth - Capricorn, Virgo, Taurus

Fire - Sagittarius, Leo, Aries

Cusps
They form the peripheral fringes of your signs in your horoscope. If you are born in a cusp- i.e. at the junction of 2 consecutive signs, you tend to have the influence of both signs. For e.g. if you are born on November 22nd you are a Scorpio Sagittarius cusp sign.

Ascendant, Sun Sign, Moon Sign
Apart from sun signs, moon signs and rising sign i.e. the ascendant are important factors which influence your nature. You can find your ascendant at the 9 o - clock position in your horoscopic chart.

It will determine your surface personality, how you present yourself to others and how others perceive you. Sun sign, on the other hand, determines your core personality - what you are actually inside.

If the sun sign brings out your individuality, then the moon sign governs your personality or your emotional being.
