List Building - How To Start And Build A Profitable Customer List

I've researched everything I can about you and signed up for your list because I am impressed with your background. I am new to the Internet and Internet Marketing. I am not sure where to start. For example, where do I get an email list?

Answer: To get an email list you have to first build a squeeze page. The purpose of a squeeze page is to capture the personal information, name and email address, of people that are attracted to your information. You build this list and then market to them.

I am often asked where you can find email lists from other people in your niche and/or marketplace. Just search online for these email lists. For example, let's say you are going to participate in the holistic niche. When you go to Google, or another search engine, type in "holistic solo ads" and see what websites come up.

Wait, what is a solo ad? A solo ad is when you pay somebody for the opportunity to send an email to their list. They market your products and services for you in exchange for monetary compensation.

So let's say that in your holistic niche, you want to sell crystals. You can find people that engage in solo ads in the holistic niche and will market your crystals to their list. You would pay them to send the email. However, the profits from the crystals, or other products they promote for you, go to you. They leverage their list for cash while you still are able to profit from the sale of your own products.

I do want to post a word of caution. Many times people new to the Internet and Internet marketing often try to "buy" lists. Do not do this. Buying a list is spam. Why? The people on the list do not know you.

So build your own list. You can accomplish this by sending out a newsletter. You can inform readers on topics in your holistic niche. You can use a free newsletter to entice them to sign up for your list on your squeeze page. For example, you can talk about how radiation and smog can kill people. Use scare tactics to let them know how serious this problem is. Then provide holistic solutions and products they can use to help them ward off the radiation and smog.

How can you attract people to your squeeze page in the first place? You can run a Google AdWords campaign, solo ads, and joint ventures. Joint ventures will enable other people to market for you.
